Today I pondered the idea of water conservation. To state the obvious we are in a bad way with water supplies. Nationally water restrictions are biting hard and ultimately it's the local home owner who ends up hurting. With water taxes increasing where is the money being spent? It's frustrating to see government beat its chest about 'the work being done' long after the fact. I'm tried off mismanagement and spin.
If its ok to spend $30 million plus on a 1 kilometre tram track extension in the heart of Adelaide then it's time to get serious about water conservation. Has anyone considered underground storage tanks for water run-off? Millions of litres are lost (when it does rain). Its such a waste!
